WELDING PROJECTS

This customer called me late Friday afternoon and explained the problem he was having. While doing a timing chain in his car he noticed a crack in the casting around one of the 1/4-20 bolt holes. He brought the motor in the following Saturday and we closed up the crack, welded extra material on to prevent this from happening again and then re-tapped the threads. Sunday night the engine was back in and running like a top, saving the customer thousands vs buying a new engine block!
